FRJ will target the needs of a demographic within OVC largely overlooked and neglected – adolescents.
Many organizations that work with OVC often overlook the needs of adolescents within their programming. To become healthy adults, adolescent OVC particularly need access to:
- Reproductive health services, including HIV education, testing, and counseling
- Livelihood and life skills training
- Adult mentors to assist them in creating positive relationships and in building good interpersonal and communication skills
FRJ will fill the gap in services for adolescent OVC with comprehensive and holistic programming.
FRJ will offer adolescent OVC unique livelihood and life skills training centered on the fashion industry – an approach that provides them with the support they need to become healthy adults while contributing to the global goal of fighting inequality and injustice, and of ending extreme poverty by 2030.
